i got my first film shot with my diana f+ back yesterday, and at first glance, my heart sank.
they were pretty lame results.
i was way too ambitious with doubly exposures and stuff, and my day had been really hard, i was all hormonal and i just sat down and had a little cry.
my day was then cheered up by some mail order clothes arriving...new pajama bottoms!! cardigan! silk dress!
however, looking through them again, i've found some that i actually really like.
shame i've no idea what most of them are...
well, I like them. even if people don't get them (:

don't knock yourself down! i have no idea about photography and wouldn't even know how to pick up a diana f+, let alone how to use one! for some supposed not so great photos, these are dreamy!
i like them a lot, really really! the same thing happened with me and my holga. i saw all these amaaazing photos other people had taken plastered all over the internet and forget that it's never as simple as it seems, i'm still working on it!
I think they turned out really quirky but nice :)
Hey! I'm back from Glastonbury and just catching up. These pictures are wonderful, you know the thing is with grades, it's so complicated they take so many things into consideration. I spend weeks on an illustration project and then get so much criticism it's heartbreaking but these are beautiful and thought provoking so just carry on being passionate. Honestly, some of my teachers really do not like my art, they say some hurtful things but I just try to think that they say it to push you and break you into industry life.
I had a play around with photoshop with some of my Glastonbury shots, they are on my blog now. Thank you so much for your advice!! xx
I love the effects, very soft and quite dreamy! The middle shots are esp beautiful.
oh, don't worry, those pictures are absolutely fabulous. really artsy and avante gard!
Dianas are notoriously finicky. I'm still learning how to wrangle mine. I'm sure the photos will get fabulous eventually, but I've gotten used to the idea that my first few rolls of film will be throwaways.
Aww, I'm sorry you had such a bad day. I think your pictures are great even if I don't get them but it makes people wonder and think right?!
Hopefully you have a better day tomorrow!! :D
I like the ambiguity of the shots actually...
I just saw them on DeviantART, and I really like them!
